About Our Services

At Growing Smiles Children’s Dental Center we provide you with numerous services in an attempt to obtain optimum oral health. Our emphasis is on prevention of tooth decay and to care for our patients.

Dental Exams and Cleaning

The health of your child’s teeth and mouth is important to the well-being of their entire body. Our practice strives for patient and parent education. Our practice starts seeing patients when either their first tooth erupts or at 6 months of age, whichever comes first! Routine preventive dental exams help create a lifetime of good oral health.

Dental X-Rays
We are committed to providing our patients with the most up-to-date dental technology. Digital x-rays are the only way our dentists can see cavities between the teeth. It’s important we can detect small dental problems before they become big ones! X ray exposure is very low because we only use digital radiographs.

Emergency Services
Accidents happen. Rest assured that we are here to help! Our pediatric dentists are highly trained in the proper dental treatment to help save a tooth and prevent complications from occurring later in life. Even if your little one has an accident after hours, please call our office!
Dental Fluoride
Years of research have shown fluoride can strengthen the teeth and protect them from bacteria. We recommend incorporating fluoride treatments into our patient’s routine dental hygiene visits. The wonderful benefits of fluoride can be achieved by applying directly onto the teeth.
Dental Sealants
Sometimes, kids need an extra boost to keep unwanted cavities away! Tooth sealants, although not a permanent solution, play a part in helping to protect your child’s teeth from dental cavities. A white protective coating is applied that helps to block out food particles. This is not invasive, making it very easy for the children.
Mouth Guards
If your little one plays sports, we recommend a mouth guard to protect their teeth, gums and tongue. Mouth guards are made of soft material that absorbs the impact of an unwanted collision.

White Fillings
These fillings are tooth-colored and blend in with your child’s natural tooth making it difficult to tell if it is even there. These provide a great option as long as the spots of decay are a reasonable size.
White Crowns
These state-of-the-art dental crowns are a natural-looking restoration that functions and looks much like a regular tooth.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Most of our patients think of nitrous oxide as laughing gas. Nitrous oxide helps our patients relax for their dental treatment, but does not put them to sleep. Nitrous oxide is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child’s nose
Oral Sedation
Oral sedation is similar to nitrous oxide in that it helps keeps your child conscious and relaxed during treatment. Although the medicine is not designed to make your child sleepy, they may actually fall asleep during treatment.
Outpatient General Anesthesia
Outpatient General Anesthesia is recommended for very young children, apprehensive children, and children with special healthcare needs.

Orthodontic Services
Early orthodontic care not only improves a smile, but can prevent lengthy and complex treatment later in life. Our goal for early orthodontic treatment is to create a foundation for a lifetime of beautiful smiles.

Lip and Tongue Tie Treatment

Our pediatric dentists work closely with pediatricians, speech therapists and lactation specialists in providing tongue and lip tie services. Using a laser, we remove the excess tissue to allow full oral function. For infants, the laser can help stimulate a happy, healthy and successful breastfeeding relationship.
