Dr. Carlos Mohamed

Dr. Mohamed completed his training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Pediatric dentists, or “Pedodontist”, specialize in children’s dentistry and are devoted to children’s needs. This requires additional years of training in pediatric residency beyond general dentistry. Pediatric dentists are trained specifically, among other things, in growth and development, child psychology, medical complications, treatment of children with special needs, trauma, and orthodontic treatment. During his speciality training, Dr. Mohamed also obtained a Masters in Public Health.

Dr. Stephen Siedow

Dr. Stephen Siedow was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from Colorado State University, he volunteered with Operation Smile, an international children’s medical charity working in Jordan, Kenya, Philippines, China and India.

Inspired by his work with Operation Smile, he completed a master’s degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. While in Boston, he met his now wife, Dr. Jenny Saenz-Siedow. Being from the Rio Grande Valley, on their first date, she mentioned that she would one day want to return to the Valley to practice medicine. Knowing he “caught a good one,” Dr. Siedow followed his future bride to Texas where he completed his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, graduating magna cum laude with a distinction in research.

Following dental school, Dr. Siedow completed his pediatric dentistry residency at the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, training at the Dallas Children’s Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. At the program, he received extensive training in oral sedation, full mouth dental rehabilitation in the operating room, special needs and medically compromised patients, and dental trauma.

Dr. Siedow is board eligible with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is an active member with Operation Smile, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentists.

In his free time, Dr. Siedow enjoys spending family time with his wife, Jenny and his dog, Crazy Daisy. If not at home, he can usually be found attempting to play golf or training for Ironman triathlons.
